Structural Engineer – Epsom outskirts
£50k-£55k DOE plus benefits
Our client, a long-established civil and structural engineering practice, is seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join their team on the outskirts of Epsom. This is an opportunity to step into a varied, impactful role within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Responsibilities
* Work on structural design calculations and drawings for projects up to £5m, bringing confidence and technical skill to every stage of delivery.
* Review work produced by others, manage projects, and maintain strong communication with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
* Site supervision and inspection will form an important part of your work, covering all traditional structural materials.
* Beyond building design, apply your understanding of building defects to assess and specify repairs for damaged structures, including those affected by subsidence, fire, vehicle impact and other failures.
* Carry out on-site structural inspections, diagnose causes of distress, and produce clear, detailed reports.
* Your experience should include assessing issues such as roof spread, overloading, explosion damage and problems relating to deleterious materials.
Qualifications
* Structural engineering degree
* Enthusiastic about progressing toward Chartered MIStructE status
* Full UK driving licence for site visits
