About the Role
As an Events Officer at IWM, you'll play a key role in delivering high-profile events that showcase our exhibitions, collections, and mission. Working across IWM's five sites, you'll support the Events Manager in planning and executing a wide range of stakeholder and development events - from exhibition openings and fundraising dinners to donor receptions and anniversary occasions.
What You'll Do
* Support the Events Manager in developing event briefs and coordinating logistics with internal teams and external suppliers.
* Collaborate with in-house and third-party caterers to create tailored menus.
* Manage guest lists and seating plans for formal dinners.
* Prepare briefing notes for senior stakeholders.
* Supervise staff, volunteers, and contractors during events.
* Build strong relationships with suppliers and museum teams.
Who We're Looking For
* Proven events experience at a major cultural (or comparable) institution.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate challenges.
* Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Confidence working with executive and board-level stakeholders.
* A solid understanding of data protection best practices.
