The Role
The Finance & Client Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day running of the Finance function, reporting directly to the Head of Finance. This is a varied and hands-on role, combining technical accounting responsibilities with team leadership and process improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
* Oversight of accurate financial record keeping across the business
* Preparation and review of financial and management reporting
* Ownership of month-end close processes and year-end accounts
* Managing, mentoring and developing a small Finance team
* Driving continuous improvement of finance processes, controls and efficiencies
* Supporting client-related accounting activities where required
* Leading and contributing to ad hoc projects and business initiatives
The role will suit someone who can effectively prioritise competing deadlines while maintaining a proactive mindset toward improving systems and ways of working.
The Person
We are keen to engage with candidates from an Accountancy Practice background, ideally with experience managing multiple clients. Applicants will be qualified (or close to qualifying) through ACCA, ICAS or ICAEW.
This role would be particularly well suited to someone making their first or second transition into industry, who is seeking a broad, hands-on position with genuine ownership, exposure to senior stakeholders and clear scope to influence and develop the finance function.
