A new pharmacy supply and dispensing provision is being created to service wards and community services at RDaSH. This has created the opportunity to build a new team to make it happen. This is a unique opportunity to be part of something from the ground up: shaping a modern, efficient, and patient-focused pharmacy service that directly supports the care delivered across our hospitals and community teams.
Were creating a dedicated dispensary hub at our Tickhill Road site in Doncaster to improve access to medicines, enhance patient experience, and strengthen resilience across our supply chain. Youll be joining a forward-thinking team that values innovation, professional growth, and collaboration which will enable you to play a key role in improving how patients receive their medication.
Looking ahead, the Trust intends to establish a wholly owned subsidiary by 2027 to take this service to the next level. Initially you will be employed by Flourish Enterprises and will be transferred to the new subsidiary on the same terms & conditions, once the business has been registered. Over time the business may expand into new markets such as community pharmacy and care home services, creating even more opportunities for career development and innovation.

Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Technician you will -
* be a vital part of thenew dispensary service supporting inpatient wards and community teams acrossRDaSH
* work within a modern developing pharmacy operation
* helpensure patients receive the right medicines at the right time by delivering asafe and accurate dispensing service that meets professional andlegal standards
* take responsibility for the final accuracy checkingof dispensed medicines
* support the daytoday running of the dispensary
* work closely with pharmacists and fellow technicians and wider clinical teams
* maintain accurate records
* support medicinessupply and stock management
* respond to routine queries
* contribute tosafe discharge processes with a strong focus on patient safety andcontinuity of care

Person Specification
Experience
* Working within a team
* Managing own workload to meet the needs of a service
* Knowledge of pharmacy procedures acquired through training & experience
* Working with Pharmacy computer systems
* Working in a busy Dispensary
* Post qualification experience of working as an accuracy checking pharmacy technician in a pharmacy.
Qualifications
* Professional registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (Registration number required)
* Hold a Level 3 qualification in Pharmacy services or equivalent.
* To have, or be willing to work towards, an accredited medicines optimisation qualification
* To have, or be willing to work towards, a final accuracy checking qualification
Knowledge and Skills
* Ability to use skills in a range of routine situations requiring analysis or comparison of a range of options
* Able to manage own time effectively maintaining a clear sense of priority and direction
* Ability to work accurately with a high level of attention to detail
* Good communication skills, able to communicate effectively across different levels Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and MS Outlook to intermediate level
* Able to analyse information about medications and implications for the individual patient
* Knowledge of ePMA systems including SystmOne
