Senior Care Assistant – Waterloo House We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated team at Waterloo House. This vital role not only involves delivering high-quality care but also includes leading the floor to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities:
* Medication Management: Administer medication in accordance with individual care plans and CQC regulations. Responsible for ordering, stock control, and accurate input of medication records.
* Care Documentation: Conduct audits, update care plans, and review risk assessments to ensure compliance and best practices. Professional Liaison: Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders to coordinate care and respond to changing needs.
* Supportive Team Leadership Role: Step in to assist or take charge of the floor during the shifts when needed, providing guidance and support to care staff and ensuring tasks are completed maintaining a hands-on approach and promoting a positive working environment.
* Mentoring & Support: Provide guidance and support to new and junior staff, helping them settle into their roles and develop their skills.
What We're Looking For:
* You should have an NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care
* Proven experience in a senior care role, ideally within a residential care setting.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* A thorough understanding of medication protocols and CQC standards.
* Ability to multitask, priorities, and remain calm under pressure.
