We’re looking for our next strategic and growth-minded Director of Product, Purchasing to join our Product Management team. Reporting to the VP of Product, you’ll drive the Purchasing product strategy to support business growth and revenue goals by leading a cross-functional team and owning the product’s success across the MealSuite ecosystem.
Overview
A day in the life as a Director of Product, Purchasing:
* Drive Strategic Product Leadership – Lead the strategy for product growth and innovation across the Purchasing experience. Identify and evaluate high-impact opportunities, align cross-functional teams, and prioritize efforts to deliver measurable business outcomes.
* Domain Ownership & Feature Leadership – Lead discovery to understand user needs and market opportunities for your domain. Gather and refine requirements and drive the success of individual features from conception through delivery and iteration.
* Own product growth and innovation – Identify and evaluate opportunities across the Purchasing experience, prioritize team efforts, and drive measurable impact including adoption, market opportunities, upsell opportunities, incentivized purchase opportunities, and more.
* Lead Cross-Functional & Cross-Team Collaboration – Lead a multidisciplinary team of Product Managers, Product Owners, and UX Designers. Foster collaboration and communication within Product, across Product teams, and with other MealSuite teams (Sales, Marketing, CX, Support, etc.), partners, customers/users, and external stakeholders. Work closely with engineering leads to optimize development in an agile environment.
* Monitor Qualitative & Quantitative performance – Seek data to assess product performance in the market, such as why upsells surge in certain markets, requirements to compete in new markets, or adoption of new features.
* Champion go-to-market execution – Coordinate activities that influence win rates, pricing strategy, demand generation, churn analysis, and market expansion.
* Evaluate product performance – Conduct data-driven analysis of usability, adoption, and success criteria to determine next steps—including iteration or deprecation. Assess platform usage from a purchasing user perspective with focus on logistics and foodservice ordering workflows, tracking metrics such as time spent on orders, cost savings from substitutions and inventory management, order accuracy, alignment to recipes/menus, pricing, and item availability.
* Guide UX strategy – Ensure usability and clarity in UI decisions to maximize functional impact.
* Mentor and lead the team – Provide growth opportunities and training paths for Product Managers, UX Designers, Product Owners, and more.
* Steward long-term vision – Present a 2–3 year Purchasing roadmap through regular Proof of Concept sessions with internal and external stakeholders.
