 
        
        Admin Assistant - Bank / Casual

We are looking for an experienced Admin Assistant to join our Birmingham South unit on a casual basis covering periods of annual leave and sickness.
You'll provide efficient and friendly administrative support, ensuring clients feel accepted, supported and confident about BPAS services.
Main duties of the job
 * Answer and direct telephone queries, liaising with internal and external colleagues as necessary.
 * Accurately check and complete BPAS and legal paperwork, ensuring all relevant documentation is available for the client’s episode of care.
 * Monitor, edit and amend appointment list using the BPAS booking system, informing clients if changes are necessary.
 * Assist in monitoring, controlling and ordering stock; sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare and despatch statistical information and reports.
Experience
 * Administration experience gained within an office environment and general office duties.
 * Experience with clerical procedures including checking documentation.
 * Telephone and reception procedures experience.
 * Experience dealing face to face with patients who may be angry or upset within a care environment.
Qualifications
 * English and Maths qualification either GCSE A to C, Functional Skills Level 2, GCSE 4* or NVQ Level 2.
 * Competence in Microsoft Office programmes including Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Teams.

BPAS Birmingham South – The Robert Clinic, 162 Station Rd, King’s Norton, Birmingham B30 1DB.
Shift Pattern
Ad‑hoc – as and when required to cover periods of annual leave and sickness in line with business needs. Generally Monday to Friday, further details discussed at interview.
Salary
£12.76 – £14.38 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
