We are looking for a caring, energetic, and reliable Nursery Assistant to join our Early Years team and help create a safe, happy, and stimulating environment for young children.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about childcare and early childhood development, and who enjoys supporting children as they learn, play, and grow.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the daily care and supervision of children within the nursery setting
2. Assist with planning and delivering fun, engaging, age-appropriate activities
3. Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
4. Encourage children’s social, emotional, and physical development through play
5. Support meal times, toileting, and personal care routines where required
6. Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
7. Maintain cleanliness, health & safety, and safeguarding standards
8. Work collaboratively as part of the nursery team
Requirements
9. Previous experience working with children or within a nursery setting preferred
10. Understanding of the EYFS framework is desirable
11. Caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude
12. Strong communication and teamwork skills
13. Ability to use initiative and remain calm in a busy environment
14. Relevant childcare qualification desirable but not essential
15. Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
16. Right to work in the UK
