Title Permanent, Full-time (and/or part time if considered) Hybrid - 3 days at our Derby office, 2 days working from home / Field based in X region / Home based Salary plus benefits About the role We’re looking for a commercially driven Group Category Manager to join our team and help shape the future of procurement across the Group. In this role, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end category management, delivering real commercial value and building strong, strategic supplier partnerships. You’ll play a key role in strengthening supplier governance, driving cost optimisation and supporting the continued evolution of our procurement function. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you’ll ensure procurement delivers sustainable, customer-first outcomes that balance cost, quality and risk. What you’ll be doing Take ownership of developing and delivering category strategies that drive cost optimisation, value creation, and long-term resilience Lead end-to-end sourcing and tendering activity (RFP/RFQ/RFI), negotiating contracts that maximise value and reduce total cost of ownership Build and manage stronger supplier relationships, including performance reviews, governance and continuous improvement plans Partner closely with stakeholders to provide pragmatic commercial guidance, supporting better decision-making across the group Analyse spend and market trends to identify opportunities for efficiency, innovation and savings Ensure procurement activity aligns with governance, compliance and third-party risk management frameworks Maintain accurate reporting and documentation to support transparency and audit requirements About you You’re a confident, solutions-focused procurement professional who thrives in a collaborative and evolving environment.
