Role Overview:
As a Senior Procurement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in providing professional procurement support across diverse institutional activities for the procurement of or the procurement of goods, services and works. Your responsibilities will encompass leading end-to-end procurement projects, conducting thorough spend analyses, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategically plan, manage, and execute efficient and compliant tendering processes.
* Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align procurement initiatives with strategic goals.
* Vigilantly monitor supplier performance and identify opportunities for enhancement.
* Foster seamless collaboration with operational procurement to ensure process efficiency and compliance.
* Analyse expenditure records to pinpoint cost-saving opportunities and enhance efficiency.
* Provide comprehensive guidance and training to staff on best procurement practices.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in delivering procurement services within a technically diverse setting.
* Preference for experience in public or regulated sectors.
* Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) or equivalent degree.
* Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
* Profound understanding of procurement principles and best practices.
* Ability to adeptly manage intricate projects and adapt to evolving priorities.
* Exceptional communication skills with a talent for engaging stakeholders across all levels.
* Proficiency in meticulous data analysis and attention to detail.
