The Opportunity We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join a busy plant/manufacturing environment in Bolton. The Role As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer , you will be responsible for maintaining and improving plant and production machinery across site, ensuring downtime is minimised and equipment performance is maximised.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong electrical fault-finding skills, the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, and confidence responding to breakdowns in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities - Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across plant and production equipment
Attend electrical and mechanical breakdowns quickly and efficiently
Fault finding on motors, drives, sensors, relays, and control systems
Read and interpret electrical and mechanical engineering drawings/schematics
Work on conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated machinery
Support continuous improvement and reliability projects
Assist with machinery upgrades, installations, and modifications
Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and records
Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
What Were Looking For Experienced multi-skilled maintenance engineer with an electrical bias
Happy working within a plant/manufacturing environment
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and schematics
Strong breakdown and fault-finding experience
NVQ Level 3 / HNC or equivalent xsngvjr in Electrical Engineering
Previous experience within manufacturing, FMCG, industrial, or plant environments
Basic PLC fault-finding experience advantageous
Proactive, hands-on attitude
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
Whats on Offer Salary between £40,000 £50,000 DOE
