Bricklayers (x2) - Croydon (Remedial Works) Rate: £210 - £230 per day (Dependent on exp & travel) Location: Croydon (CR0) Start: ASAP | Duration: 2 Months Atkinson Baker Associates are currently recruiting 2x Experienced Bricklayers on behalf of a Main Contractor & Building Solutions Specialist. Our client is a diverse construction and maintenance business known for delivering commercial and residential building solutions across the South East. This role involves working on a specific project in Croydon to rectify and complete works left by a previous sub-contractor. The Role You will be working on remedial structural works, primarily focusing on complex groundworks bricklaying. We need tradespeople who can solve problems, not just lay blocks. Because this is a remedial project involving technical elements like retaining walls, you must be able to read drawings independently and ensure the work is corrected to the structural engineer's original specification. Key Responsibilities Construction of retaining walls and footings (brick and block). Interpreting technical drawings to rectify previous errors. Working autonomously or in a pair to high structural standards. Supporting the Main Contractor in getting the project back on track. Maintaining a tidy and safe workspace. Requirements Essential: Strong experience in technical brickwork (Retaining walls, footings, structural repairs). Essential: Ability to read plans and work without constant supervision. Essential: Valid CSCS Card (Blue Skilled Worker card highly desirable). Essential: Own professional tools and transport. Reliable and able to start immediately.
