Randstad Student Support is seeking a skilled and compassionate Study Skills Tutor to work with autistic students at the University of Lincoln. This part-time, hybrid role offers the flexibility to work both on-campus and online, tailoring support to meet individual student needs. Are you ready to make a real difference?
Skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to identify and build on students' learning strengths
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Proficiency in creating individual learning plans
* Experience with various research methods and referencing styles
* Ability to foster independence and self-advocacy in students
* Experience managing a caseload of students
Qualifications
This specialist role requires a strong academic background and relevant training in supporting autistic adults. To meet the requirements of the Disabled Students Allowance (DSA), candidates must:
* Hold a minimum of an undergraduate degree (Level 6).
* Possess a teaching qualification.
* Have completed extensive training in adult autism, such as:
o 6 National Autistic Society Modules (non-medical helper package), or
o The Optimum Training Course: Autism and ADHD in Higher Education: Recognising and addressing the barriers through Non-Medical Helper (NMH) Mentoring and Study Skills Strategies.
