Job Description
* Working with the established Health and Safety team to provide practicable and professional advice and assistance to staff at all levels.
* Assisting with & coordinating operational risk assessments for all site's operations.
* Ensuring regular inspections are undertaken and corrective actions are identified and addressed.
* Recording and managing incident reports, and coordinating incident investigations as required.
* Writing up reports, safety bulletins, and newsletters.
* Attend the company Health and Safety committees & produce minutes as required.
* Keeping up to date with, and ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation and good industry practice as part of their continuous professional development.
* Contribute to a positive Health and Safety culture by positively influencing behaviour in others to achieve desired outcomes.
* To undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required by the Health and Safety Department.
The Successful Applicant
* NEBOSH / Tech ISOH will be ideal
* Knowledge off Scaffolding will be ideal
* knowledge of the Construction industry, moreover an understanding of scaffolding Temporary works and the risks involved with working at height.
* An understanding of the moral, ethical, and financial importance of an effective Health, Safety and Environmental management system.
* Valid & Clean driving licence - will need to travel to projects/meetings.as required. As stated above
* A good knowledge of MS Office applications and able to adapt to new bespoke systems when presented.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Able to prioritise work demands to ensure an appropriate level of detail is employed at all times.
* Must possess a proactive, positive attitude towards improving Health and Safety standards and developing a positive culture.
