We are recruiting for a Senior Storage Point Scientist to join our Quality, Environment and Assurance team! You will lead and develop a team of Storage Point Scientists to ensure that the optimum quality water is provided to our customers from storage points across the region. You will provide senior/technical expert scientific advice to the business and to your team, being the technical expert within your team. With line management responsibilities you will mentor and develop the capabilities, confidence and skills within your team. You will use your expertise to identify and mitigate risks ahead of time and develop effective solutions in mitigating risks. You will continually seek to understand new ways of working and using different/ new technology to support the continuous improvement of our storage point risk profile and ability to build robust risk mitigation solutions. Working predominantly onsite, you will manage projects to provide effective and optimised storage point operation to mitigate business risk, whilst maintaining wholesome water to our customers. Your understanding and asset experience, will be used to enable capital schemes to get the best out of the storage points. You’ll effectively manage your time, balancing time on site and in the office to provide the outcomes needed for the business. You’ll work from site with colleagues 4 days per week. You will be part of a Regional out of hours standby support for the business.
