    Job overview

    We are looking for a motivated, compassionate and experienced People Experience Lead to join our Organisational Development, Wellbeing and Leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in improving the experience of working in the Trust by leading the delivery of our staff experience, wellbeing and leadership development priorities.

    Working closely with colleagues, leaders, teams and staff networks, you will help translate staff feedback, workforce insight and organisational priorities into practical, inclusive and evidence-based interventions that make a meaningful difference to our people. The role will support delivery of the Trust People Plan, our values and the NHS People Promise, helping to create a culture where colleagues feel listened to, supported, valued and able to thrive.

    You will bring significant experience in staff experience, wellbeing, leadership development, organisational development or a related people-focused role. You will be confident designing and delivering programmes, facilitating groups, analysing feedback and data, and working with leaders to turn insight into action.

    You will be a skilled communicator and facilitator, able to work with sensitivity, credibility and professional judgement across a range of services and stakeholder groups. You will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, and supporting teams through complex or sensitive issues relating to wellbeing, culture and change.

    Main duties of the job

    As People Experience Lead, you will lead the operational delivery and continuous improvement of the Trust’s wellbeing offer, staff listening activity, leadership development programmes and team-based organisational development interventions.

  • Design, deliver and evaluate wellbeing interventions, campaigns, workshops and in-person sessions that are responsive to staff and service needs.
  • Lead delivery of staff listening activity, including the NHS Staff Survey, pulse surveys and other engagement mechanisms, using insight to inform meaningful action planning.
  • Develop and facilitate leadership development, staff experience and team development programmes that support compassionate, inclusive and effective leadership.
  • Use workforce data, feedback and qualitative insight to identify themes, risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Provide specialist advice, support and constructive challenge to leaders and managers on staff experience, wellbeing, leadership and culture.
  • Lead tailored team interventions and culture reviews, translating learning into clear recommendations and sustainable improvement actions.
  • Produce high-quality reports, briefings and assurance updates for senior leaders and governance forums.
  • Provide professional leadership, supervision and development to People Experience colleagues.

  • •Degree‑level qualification or equivalent knowledge and experience in Organisational Development, HR, Leadership, Education or a related field.

  • Significant experience delivering staff experience, wellbeing, leadership development or OD interventions.
  • Experience leading staff surveys and action planning.
  • Experience facilitating in‑person training, workshops, team interventions and culture reviews.
  • Experience influencing and advising leaders and managers.
  • Evidence of meeting the Trust's values
