About the role
This is a pivotal hire for the business, sitting at the centre of the ESG and sustainability agenda. The Sustainability Lead will be responsible for shaping and delivering the company’s ESG strategy, while building robust reporting frameworks and embedding sustainability into decision-making across the organisation. You will work closely with senior leadership, investors and operational teams, acting as the key interface on all ESG-related matters.
Main responsibilities
* Develop and deliver the organisation’s Sustainability & ESG strategy aligned to business objectives and investor expectations
* Design and implement ESG reporting frameworks, ensuring investor-grade disclosures (TCFD, CSRD, ISSB etc.)
* Lead carbon and Net Zero initiatives across Scopes 1–3, including data quality, methodologies and reporting
* Embed ESG into governance, policies, investment decisions and operational processes
* Support Board and investor reporting, providing insight on ESG risks, opportunities and regulatory developments
* Manage ESG assessments (e.g. GRESB) and support fund-level reporting requirements
* Drive stakeholder engagement internally and externally, including regulators, lenders and industry bodies
What are we looking for?
* 3–5 years’ experience in ESG/sustainability reporting roles
* Proven experience developing ESG strategies and managing reporting cycles
* Experience working within or alongside regulated/asset-heavy environments (utilities, energy, infrastructure etc.)
* Strong understanding of ESG frameworks and standards (e.g. TCFD, CSRD, GRI, ISSB, SFDR)
* Strong analytical capability with ESG data, KPIs and reporting systems
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior leadership
