Your new role As an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA), you will deliver high-quality frontline support to individuals identified as high risk of harm. You will manage a caseload of clients, providing crisis intervention, advocacy, and tailored safety planning to reduce risk and improve outcomes for survivors and their families. You will work closely with key partners including housing, police, and social care, attending multi-agency meetings such as MARAC to represent clients and ensure coordinated support.Your role will involve a mixture of telephone, face-to-face, and outreach work, supporting individuals to understand their options around housing, legal remedies, and welfare while empowering them to regain independence and control.This is a challenging but highly rewarding role requiring resilience, empathy, and a proactive, client-centred approach.
