3 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants
At Lime Trees Vets, we have a truly excellent permanent position for a vet with a feline interest to join us. While the role will have a heavy emphasis on a feline caseload, you’ll still be expected to work cases with other small animal species. For this position, you’ll be mainly based at our Cat Clinic. However, you’ll still be required to cover shifts at the main hospital site, too. We’re keen to support candidates that are relocating by offering them a relocation allowance of up to £5000. The role offers an exciting and well-balanced caseload that includes consults, medical investigations, and surgery. We are seeking someone with a passion for delivering excellent patient and client care.
Shape Your Schedule: Flexibility that Works for You!
We know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and we want to make it brilliantly easy for you to strike the right balance. Whether you are looking to fix or flex your work patterns, we can find the right solution for you. Typically, a full-time role would involve working 40 hours per week, over 4 days per week, along with our shared Saturday rota, which sits at 2:10 (this would be at the main hospital).
More about us
Lime Trees Vets has always aimed to provide the best possible care to all animals under its roof, which is why in 2021 we created our cat only practice. Our well‑equipped, ISFM Gold, primarily first opinion, cat only clinic is located within the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands. It is a haven of calm for our feline friends. Fully kitted out with CR x‑ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, dental suite, K‑Laser, and a full lab. Every aspect has been designed by our vets and nurses with cats in mind. The team is led by an RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Feline Medicine, who also sees feline referrals.
We know that quality care takes time, which is why all our vet consultations and nurse clinics are a minimum of 20 minutes. Extended consultations mean we can spend more time on gentle handling and getting acquainted with our feline patients. Our vets and nurses have worked together to redesign key elements of the practice with cats in mind. Everything from cat parks in the waiting room, decoration in the consult room, layout of the wards, and equipment in the theatre rooms have been ticked off as cat‑friendly.
The Cat Clinic is approximately 10 minutes by car from our first opinion and referral hospital at Meir Park. It is also maintained and equipped to a high standard and in addition has a CT scanner on‑site. We also provide advanced practitioner‑led referral services in internal medicine, soft tissue, orthopaedics, dermatology and ECC at the hospital. We are a host practice for Vets Now who provide our out‑of‑hours care. This ensures constant 24‑hour care of our inpatients at our hospital, while we sleep at night.
