Role and Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with Production to ensure the smooth transition from design to manufacture.
* Provide technical expertise across the business, supporting departments such as Sales, Service, and Production.
* Driving design + development, analysing (risk, failure mode, tolerance) and other project tasks.
* Design and develop products to meet customer specification and advise customers on the best design solutions
* Taking the product from conception to completion, leading design reviews whilst liaising closely with customers and suppliers.
* Comfortable working on several projects simultaneously in a fast:paced environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Problem solving techniques (i.e. FMEA / DFMEA / Risk Analysis)
* Experience working as a Design Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
* Experience using 3D modelling : Solidworks / Auto Desk Inventor
* Solid Mechanical Engineering background.
* Previous experience working with a range of Materials such as Metals, Steel, Plastics etc.
* Ability to analyse product performance.
