This is a full time, fixed term post for 2 years. The Place Planning and Sufficiency Team is looking to recruit a Wrapround Childcare Project Officer to lead on the Government's Wraparound Childcare Programme for Stoke-on-Trent. The role will involve working with partners, such as schools, childcare providers and parents to ensure that all primary age children have access to high quality before and after school care by 2026. This is a brand-new role created to deliver this exciting but challenging project. It will involve identifying where wrapround childcare is required in the city and developing processes for allocating funding to support the increase of places in those areas, including the development of capital projects. You will need an understanding of legislation and statutory relating to childcare and have experience of planning, delivering and managing projects.
