A fantastic opportunity to join a London based international law firm in London as a Senior In-house Lawyer in their risk and compliance function.
Responsibilities include governance, ensuring compliance with professional standards (including through policy work, file auditing and training), and contractual work relating to both client engagements and the firm’s suppliers.
Responsibilities:
* Draft and update client engagement letters and standard terms
* Review and advise on client-specific terms and outside counsel guidelines
* Provide legal input on client pitches and panel applications
* Collaborate with procurement on supplier contracts
* Draft corporate governance documents and consultancy agreements
* Develop and maintain internal policies
* Advise on regulatory requirements and support regulatory engagement
* Conduct file audits for regulatory compliance
* Contribute to strategic risk initiatives and office expansions
* Ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory standards
Experience:
* Qualified lawyer with 5+ years’ experience, ideally in commercial or corporate law
* Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills, including data protection terms
* Familiarity with UK regulatory frameworks (e.g., SRA Code of Conduct)
