Job Overview
The Early Years Assessment Unit Manager/Leader provides strategic and operational leadership of the Early Years Assessment & Observation service to secure high-quality, person-centred Additional Learning Needs (ALN) provision that complies with legislation and the ALN Code across settings and schools in Anglesey.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation, maintenance and review of Individual Development Plans (IDPs)
- Coordinate moderation panels and forums
- Ensure effective multi‑agency collaboration and smooth transitions into school
- Manage the Early Years Assessment (EYA) team and centres, modelling and assuring effective practice
- Lead professional development, advice and early‑intervention support for practitioners, providers and families
- Drive quality assurance through monitoring impact, outcomes and value for money, leading data and reporting, and embedding consistent standards
- Contribute to strategic planning, service reviews and resource/budget decisions in close partnership with educational psychology and ALN & Inclusion colleagues
- Act as the primary point for stakeholder engagement and parental liaison, resolving concerns in line with policy
Salary and Location
Salary: 54,398.00 – 58,691.00 GBP per Year
