Overview
Are you a dynamic, confident and motivated Mental Health Nurse/Occupational Therapist or Social Worker with excellent communication skills with the ability to assess and lead on clinical decision making. This is an exciting role, working in a fast paced environment within a well-established, multi-disciplinary team. The crisis and home treatment teams offer a high quality assessment and home treatment service as an alternative to hospital admission for individuals experiencing acute mental health crisis. We are looking for individuals who are genuinely warm, engaging and focussed on client/customer satisfaction. Secondment opportunity or fixed term contracts for up to 12 months. We also offer full-time and part-time working. If you are applying for a secondment you must obtain prior approval from your current line manager before submitting your application. To co-ordinate the Crisis and Home Treatment Team on a shift by shift basis, acting as Duty Worker to triage referrals, plan the shifts activities and team accordingly. Responsibilities
* To provide first line assessments of people experiencing acute mental health difficulties and act as gatekeepers to acute admissions.
* To rapidly assess people with mental health problems who are vulnerable to hospital admission.
* To provide specialist crisis assessments with a focus on hospital at home.
* To co-ordinate the Crisis and Home Treatment Team on a shift by shift basis, acting as Duty Worker to triage referrals, plan the shifts activities and team accordingly.
* To participate in team MDMs.
* To engage with the team and contribute to a patient-centered service.
