MR Radiology Department Assistant

As an MR radiology assistant you will support our radiographers in the MR scanning department, ensuring exceptional care for patients before, during and after their MR scan. The role involves caring for patients, placing intravenous cannulas, removing them post‑scan, maintaining consumables, keeping the area clean and tidy, and providing additional support to patients throughout the scanning process.
Working hours are flexible, including weekends, and you may be asked to cover additional hours for colleague leave.
Main Duties
* Caring for patients before, during and after MR scans
* Placing and removing intravenous cannulas
* Ensuring all consumables are available throughout the day
* Maintaining a clean and tidy scanning area
* Providing additional support to patients who need it during the scanning process
* Covering additional hours and weekend shifts as required
Qualifications & Experience
* Health based training course (or equivalent)
* Basic IT skills
* Experience working in a care environment
* Previous experience interacting with the general public
* Excellent organisational skills
* Ability to perform under pressure
* Sympathetic and caring attitude
* Adaptable and flexible in shift patterns
