Well known Surrey based Independent School is seeking a part time interim Finance Consultant to join them on an initial 3 month basis.
Description
* Cash Flow Forecasting & Financial Planning: Develop, implement, and maintain accurate cash flow models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making and ensure liquidity.
* VAT Compliance: Manage all aspects of VAT, ensuring full compliance with HMRC regulations relevant to an independent school setting.
* HR and Payroll Integration: Oversee the financial integration of HR and payroll functions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
* NetSuite System Implementation: Play a key role in the implementation and optimisation of the NetSuite ERP system, serving as a subject matter expert and facilitating a smooth transition from existing systems.
* Salary Sacrifice Pensions: Administer and advise on salary sacrifice pension schemes, ensuring correct processing and compliance.
* Management and Financial Accounting: Deliver high-quality management accounts and financial reports, ensuring adherence to accounting principles and providing insightful analysis to senior leadership.
* Budgeting and Monitoring: Support the annual budget setting process and provide in-year monitoring and adjustments as needed.
* Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve financial systems and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Profile
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant
* Previous Education or Charity sector working experience
* System Knowledge: Proven experience with ERP systems, specifically NetSuite implementation or high-level use.
* Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of cash flow forecasting, VAT, and payroll processes.
* Sector Experience: Prior experience within an educational setting, particularly an independent school, is highly desirable.
* Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with staff and stakeholders at all levels.
