About The Role
As a Lecturer, you will lead curriculum teams to embed the requirements of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF) into everyday teaching, learning, and assessment practice. You will play a pivotal role in delivering high‑quality vocational education, supporting instructors and assessors, and ensuring learners are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and behaviours needed in the industry.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Lead and support vocational instructors and assessors through induction, probation, and ongoing development.
* Conduct Learning Walks, Desk Top Evaluations, and quality reviews.
* Deliver CPD sessions and Personal Development lessons.
* Liaise with Awarding Bodies and End Point Assessment Organisations.
* Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory lessons aligned with industry standards.
* Create inclusive teaching resources and provide tailored learner support.
* Monitor learner progress and contribute to review processes.
* Promote career progression and provide guidance.
* Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and foster a positive learning environment.
* Maintain strong industry relationships and stay current with sector developments.
Essential Experience
* Level 3 vocational qualification directly related to lightning protection.
* Specialist licence to practice qualifications relevant to the role.
* Relevant industry experience in construction.
* Excellent knowledge of current industry practices.
* Level 5 teaching qualification (or willingness to achieve within 2 years).
* Assessor Awards (or willingness to achieve within 1 year).
* Evidence of continuous professional development.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Educated to Level 2 or above in English and maths.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
Desirable Experience
* Higher‑level construction‑related qualification.
* Higher‑level education‑related qualification.
* Experience in apprenticeship delivery.
