We are looking for an enthusiastic chef with experience in a fast paced environment. Blend is a growing business and we would like the chef to be responsible for the kitchen. often working alone in the kitchen you will have the opportunity to manage your own time and express your creative side with new dishes.
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards.
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
* Collaborate with other team members to create innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as necessary.
* Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
* Ensure all dishes are served promptly and meet quality expectations.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a similar Chef role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
* Strong culinary skills with extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
* Excellent leadership abilities, capable of motivating and developing a team.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
