We have a mix of casual and contracted hours available for Level 2 Swimming Teachers at Parish Wharf Leisure Centre, in Portishead.
Permanent shifts
1. Tuesday 15:45 - 18:15
2. Tuesday 19:00 - 20:30 (Adults)
3. Thursday 15:45 - 18:15
4. Friday 15:45 - 19:30
5. Saturday 8:30 - 11:00
6. Saturday 9:00 - 11:00 (Pre-school teaching in the water)
7. Sunday 16:30 - 18:30
Where applying for a permanent shift, please let us know which days you would be able to do. There may be the option of extending shifts or altering hours for the right candidate.
Where applying for a casual role, we are particularly interested in hearing from those who are able to cover our weekend lessons. These run between 8:15 - 12:00 on Saturdays, and 9:00 - 12:00 and 16:30 - 18:30 on Sundays.

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Swimming Teacher, at Places Leisure, where you will be working in a fun, lively environment with likeminded people. You will help to inspire others to work together and deliver their very best. With your passion for teaching, swimming and excellent class programming and instructing skills, you will be full of enthusiasm whilst engaging with our customers and impressing them with your extensive knowledge and expertise.
All of our swimmer development stages are based on the National Plan for Teaching Swimming, and as such, our Swimming Teachers should hold a minimum of UKCC Level 2. It would be advantageous if you hold a Lifesaving Qualification (NPLQ or NRASTC), however, if you are a motivated and driven individual, then with our continuous learning and development opportunities, we would be happy to support you in achieving either of these qualifications.

In the Swimming Teacher role, we will offer ongoing training and development opportunities, including support with your NPLQ or NRASTC qualifications, enhancing your customer service skills and much more.
