Job Title: Global Event Marketing Consultant Location: Reading, UK (Hybrid - 2 Days a week) Job Type: Contract (Outside IR35) Duration: 7 months Job Summary: Join Mavenir, a global leader in telecommunications and network infrastructure, as a Global Event Marketing Consultant. In this high-impact, execution-focused contract role, you will deliver a pre-defined global event strategy for a leading cloud-native telecom company. You will be responsible for managing logistics, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure the flawless execution of Tier 1 industry and internal events that drive brand presence, product positioning, and sales engagement. Key Responsibilities: Execute Existing Event Plan Deliver on the global event calendar, including flagship shows (e.g., MWC) and partner/customer engagements. Plan and deliver internal Sales Conference (attendee management, registration, travel, internal communications, activities, F&B, AV). Ensure all deliverables, timelines, and milestones are met. Logistics Management Coordinate booth build-outs, demos, shipping, branding, and staffing with internal teams and external vendors. Oversee and coordinate the meeting scheduler for flagship events, ensuring seamless participant engagement. Manage event registration, travel, accommodations, and on-site support for executives and sales teams. Cross-Functional Coordination Act as the operational lead, liaising with marketing, sales, product teams, and external agencies. Ensure content, collateral, demos, and briefing documents are delivered on time. Vendor & Budget Oversight Manage vendor contracts and ensure cost control within approved budgets. Track expenses, submit reports, and optimize costs without compromising impact. On-Site/Event Execution Be present (virtually or physically) for major events to ensure smooth execution. Handle last-minute issues and maintain brand integrity throughout the event experience. Reporting & Follow-up Track event metrics (attendance, leads, meetings, engagement). Collaborate with digital and sales teams for timely lead follow-up and ROI reporting. Skills, Experience, and Abilities Required: 10 years in B2B event marketing, ideally with experience in telecom, cloud, or enterprise tech. Experience with Jifflenow meeting booking and Stova registration is a strong plus. Proven ability to manage large global events from logistics to post-event reporting. Strong project management skills with attention to detail and the ability to hit the ground running. Experience working with international vendors, venues, and cross-functional teams. Knowledge of telecom industry event formats and players (GSMA, TM Forum, etc.) is a plus. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-ownership contract role. Available to travel if needed (up to 20%) .
