About This Role
Summit Learning Trust has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll & Pensions Officer to join the centralised finance team. This role will provide an opportunity to develop this important function within a vibrant and innovative trust that seeks to improve educational standards for all learners. The role will be based at Cockshut Hill or Ninestiles School, with occasional travel to other Trust sites and home working.
Key Responsibilities
* Play a key role in payroll and pension related activities for Summit Learning Trust.
* Be responsible for liaising with the outsourced payroll provider to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and pensions for all colleagues across our Trust.
* Oversee pension administration, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.
* Process reconciliation, statutory returns and support audits.
About You
* Hold GCSEs including Maths and English at level 4 or above or equivalent.
* Demonstrable experience in payroll and/or pensions administration.
* Experience with processing reconciliation, statutory returns and supporting audits.
* Experience working in education, public sector or multi‑site organisation is desirable.
* Strong knowledge of payroll processes, pensions administration and statutory compliance.
* Good IT skills, including Excel and payroll/HR systems.
* Willingness to explore flexible working subject to operational requirements.
