Job Description
Companionship Services :
1. Offer companionship and conversation.
2. Stimulate and encourage through a variety of activities (e.g., clothing selection, hobbies, crafts).
3. Accompany clients to appointments and social events (e.g., visiting friends or family, lunch, club meetings).
Home Help Services :
1. Perform light housekeeping tasks (dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, washing and ironing, taking out rubbish, caring for houseplants).
2. Organize and tidy cupboards, check food expiry dates, and assist with shopping.
3. Possess knowledge about good food safety and the ability to cook a variety of meals from raw ingredients.
4. Assist with pet care.
Personal Care :
1. Help with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
2. Assist with continence care.
3. Consider and understand the perspectives of individuals with Dementia/Alzheimer's.
4. Assist with morning and evening routines.
Ability to listen, communicate clearly, and build relationships with clients and their families in a friendly and pleasant manner.
Respect for people with different backgrounds and beliefs, and who may have a range of medical conditions. Commitment to non-discriminatory care practices.
Excellent time management skills, organized and reliable.
Good hygiene practices, including personal hygiene and a professional appearance.
This role requires obtaining an Enhanced Disclosure from the relevant body.
Reliable transportation or Class 1 business insurance if using own vehicle for work purposes.
Eligibility Criteria :
* Resident in the UK.
* All Right to Work documents available.
* No sponsorship available.
* Care experience preferred but not required.
