Job Title: Experiences Executive

Reporting To: Team Leader - Experiences

Location: No.3 St. James’s Street, London

The job in a nutshell


The Events & Experiences (E&E) department is responsible for selling, managing and executing the successful service delivery of all social, corporate, ticketed and wine education events that take place within at Berry Bros. & Rudd.


You will support the Team Leader of Experiences in selling, planning, managing and hosting our ticketed events and experiences that take place at our home at No.3 St. James’s Street. While hosting, you will share your knowledge and explore the world of wine with our customers in our historic cellars and event spaces.

* External: BBR Customers


What you will do

Overview:

* Bring customers together through the pleasure of sharing the finest wines and spirits whilst creating links and connections across all divisions to bring the best of BB&R to life
* Promote, sell and control the resources of all events to achieve/better our budgeted revenue, cost and profit targets
* Plan, manage and host ticketed events and experiences as directed by the Team Leader
* Maintain a high level of communication, ensuring Event Orders / Contracts are prepared and distributed accurately and efficiently
* Support the Corporate and Private Events team from the same department with organising and hosting when required
* Always ensure client and guest (both internal and external) satisfaction
* Consistently provide and offer professional, passionate and engaging service


Administration & Sales:

* Respond to all customer enquiries regarding experiences in a prompt and polite manner
* Assist with overseeing the events diary, ensuring bookings are accurate and up to date
* Order wines for ticketed events and print tasting sheets & menus
* Work on a seasonal basis, with the Team Leader of Experiences, to build the calendar of ticketed events and experiences for the following season
* Organise all allocated events, from booking to post-event feedback, including maintaining the accuracy and effectiveness of all written communication
* Ensure regular liaison with our kitchen and wine cellar teams regarding client requests, customer dietaries, food quality, feedback, bookings, stock levels, wastage, ordering etc.
* Entertain existing clients and prospective clients as necessary to achieve goodwill and secure business accordingly


Hosting:

* Host a range of our events and experiences, including tastings for ticketed events, corporate groups, and introductory wine tastings (this will include evenings and some Saturdays)
* Assist in supporting other hosts from across the business with more in-depth tastings


What you will bring to the role


Experience / Achievements

* WSET Level 3 (Diploma desirable)
* Experience of working in a fast-paced event sales, administration and hosting capacity
* Experience of working with high-net-worth and corporate customers
* Proven ability to plan and organise events effectively, with an acute sense of detail

* Career and results oriented with the ability to be flexible with hours, days off, assignments and additional duties
* Understanding of what ‘great’ looks like
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
