Role Overview
We have a new opportunity for a Deputy Building and Facilities Manager to join the growing team at the Nuffield Department of Medicine, to provide a high level of support to the new Global Health Building, which is due to be completed in mid‑2026.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Building and Facilities Manager, and capital projects team, ensuring the building is fully set‑up and operational in time for building users to move in and assist with the moving process as required.
* Assist with the operational delivery of the building's FM services to the highest standards, managing relationships with cleaning, AV and equipment maintenance services, monitoring service standards and reporting on deviations from SLAs.
* Ensure all relevant equipment and building systems are regularly maintained and tested, conduct H&S inductions and act as the Building's Deputy Fire Officer, DSE Assessor and Manual Handling Assessor.
Qualifications
* Educated to at least GCSE standard or equivalent.
* Demonstrable experience within FM services, preferably in a scientific or research environment.
* Experience managing contractors providing maintenance functions.
* Professional qualification in facilities management or related subject highly desirable.
