Private Client - Will Writing
As a Private Client Adviser/Will writer, you will join a growing and collaborative team supporting clients on a wide range of personal and family matters. This role is particularly suited to someone with experience in Will drafting, estate administration, or private client legal work, and offers an opportunity to build on that foundation in a dynamic accountancy practice environment.
We can offer support with qualifications such as STEP or CTA at a later stage, depending on your interests and career goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Draft and review Wills, support estate planning discussions, and assist in related client meetings.
* Liaise with Executors, Trustees, and family members in the administration of estates and ongoing planning.
* Work alongside senior team members to deliver sensitive and clear advice to clients.
* Assist in preparing documents and correspondence relating to client instructions (e.g. Will clauses, letters, checklists).
* Collaborate with internal departments and external professionals to deliver a joined-up client service.
* Keep up to date with relevant legislation, particularly relating to Wills, inheritance, and estate matters.
* Maintain organised client records and ensure timely follow-ups and updates.
* Build awareness of internal processes, tax systems, and checklists to support ongoing development.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in a private client, probate, or legal advisory setting (e.g. Will drafting, estate administration, family wealth).
* Excellent communication skills and a sensitive, client-focused approach.
* Willingness to develop broader knowledge in tax and trusts, if of interest.
* A collaborative team player who is proactive and detail-oriented.
* Interest in pursuing STEP (optional – not required on entry).
