We're looking for an inspiring and compassionate Homeless Support Team Leader to join our team at Wrexham Foyer. This is an opportunity to lead a dedicated team supporting people experiencing homelessness, helping them build confidence, develop life skills and move towards independent living.

You’ll work alongside an existing Team Leader to ensure residents receive high‑quality, person‑centred support while creating a positive and supportive environment for both residents and colleagues.

This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys leading people, solving problems and making a genuine difference every day.

About The Role

As Team Leader, you’ll support the day-to-day running of the service, providing guidance, coaching and leadership to a team of Support Officers.

You will:

• Lead, motivate and support a team to deliver high‑quality support services.
• Help create a positive, inclusive and high‑performing team culture.
• Coordinate support plans and ensure residents receive the right support at the right time.
• Work closely with local authorities, health professionals, social workers and partner agencies.
• Monitor service performance and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Support staff development through coaching, supervision and constructive feedback.
• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and best practice throughout the service.
• Manage staffing rotas to ensure safe and effective service delivery.
• Support residents with complex needs where required.
• Assist with service development and the implementation of new initiatives.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong leadership skills with empathy, resilience and a genuine passion for supporting people.

You will have:

• Experience in a leadership, supervisory or senior role within homelessness, housing, social care, mental health, substance misuse or a related service.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• The ability to motivate, support and develop others.
• Experience managing challenging situations with confidence and professionalism.
• Knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities and best practice.Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Good IT skills and confidence using digital systems.

You may also hold a Degree, HND/C, NVQ or equivalent qualification within a relevant field. A management qualification is desirable but not essential.
