The Cambridge Centre for Myelin Repair (CCMR) is a UK research initiative funded by the MS Society, dedicated to accelerating the development of effective treatments for progressive multiple sclerosis, where currently no therapies halt disability progression.
CCMR brings together leading scientists and clinicians at the University of Cambridge, working at the interface of fundamental neuroscience and clinical translation to drive advances from discovery to patient benefit. The Centre is directed by Thóra Káradóttir (Cambridge Stem Cell Institute), with co-Directors Alasdair Coles and Stefano Pluchino (Department of Clinical Neurosciences). It harnesses expertise across basic and clinical neuroscience, partnering with academia, healthcare, and patient communities.
