Freelance Site Engineer Highways & Structures (CIS) 6 Month Contract Location: Warwickshire / West Midlands Day Rate: Upto £400 per day (CIS) Start: ASAP Duration: 6months The Opportunity A respected civil engineering contractor is delivering a package of highways and structural improvement works within the Midlands region. They are seeking a Site Engineer to join their team on a CIS basis, supporting delivery across earthworks, drainage and structural elements including reinforced concrete works. This is a great fit for an engineer seeking a stable medium-term contract on a technically interesting infrastructure scheme. Key Responsibilities Setting out for civils, drainage, earthworks and structural/RC works Managing and updating QA documentation (ITPs, check sheets, as-builts) Working with the site management team to ensure safe and compliant delivery Coordinating with subcontractors and ensuring technical standards are met Supporting temporary works processes Assisting with progress reporting and resolving engineering queries on-site Requirements Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways, civils or structures projects Competent with Total Station and GPS equipment Strong understanding of QA systems CSCS essential; SSSTS/SMSTS beneficial Ability to work independently and manage multiple work fronts Available for a 6 month CIS contract Whats on Offer CIS engagement Competitive day rate A stable 6 month contract on a major Midlands improvement scheme Immediate start available How to Apply If you are a Site Engineer with highways or civil engineering experience and are available for a CIS freelance contract, please send your CV or get in touch for a confidential conversation.
