Overview
Following recent investment, we have a new and exciting opportunity for a Senior Physiotherapist to join our Pulmonary Rehabilitation Team at East Cheshire NHS Trust. The team provide pulmonary rehabilitation to patients via a mixture of face to face classes within community settings across East Cheshire and home 1:1 support. We are looking to expand our offer to include digital solutions to enable more people to access and benefit from the service.
Responsibilities
* To work as an autonomous practitioner, to provide a high standard of specialist assessment and treatment of pulmonary rehabilitation/respiratory patients in a variety of locations. Using evidence-based principles / current best practice, specialist skills and clinical reasoning to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
* To regularly supervise, educate and support junior staff and support workers including completion of annual appraisals.
* To regularly supervise, educate and support students on placement.
* To support the Pulmonary Rehabilitation service Team Leader in the day-to-day operational planning and running of the service.
* To support the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Service Team Leader on the accreditation of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Service including accurate contribution and leading on research and service improvement initiatives.
* To work flexibly within the service according to service demand and change in service provision - this may include cover across East Cheshire Pulmonary Rehab Clinic sites.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Experience delivering pulmonary rehabilitation with demonstrated high clinical standards.
* Ability to work both autonomously and as part of the wider team; positive approach to teamwork to achieve NRAP Accreditation.
* Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check with barred lists required; cost payable by the successful candidate.
* If you have lived or worked abroad for 6 months or more in the last 5 years you will need to obtain an overseas police clearance.
