Our Product Coordinator
In this role, you
will provide support to the Product Team, including Buyers and Product
Developers, across food, homeware, and gifting, bringing bespoke products to
both retail and internal hospitality teams.
This is a crucial role that will support the
team in optimising all key functions across the buying and product development
department, ensuring that supplier and cost information is kept accurate and up
to date across all systems & records.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintaining awareness of the development critical
path and supporting the team to ensure key calendar milestones are always met.
* Working with key stakeholders around the estate,
including the retail team, hospitality team and internal production teams.
* Building relationships with external suppliers,
organising delivery dates and making cancellations where necessary.
* Working with the operational team to assist in stock
movements around the estate.
* Working across the ecommerce, accounting, and retail
systems to input and maintain data.
* Setting up new products on internal systems, raising
POs, and processing orders.
* Maintaining the internal barcode library.
* Maintaining the shelf-life inventory process and the
short date list.
* Managing the sample library, including requesting
samples for shoots and press, and actioning stock movements across the
business.
* Working closely with press, marketing, and social
teams to ensure retail products are highlighted across channels in-line with
estate themes and product launches.
* Working with the ecommerce and shop teams to ensure
pricing accuracy and product alignment across all channels.
* Working with the goods in team and accounts team, to
reconcile invoicing paperwork.
* Understanding the need for clear and accurate data, maintaining
all systems and following product processes, ensuring that supplier information
is regularly checked and kept up to date.
* Working with our internal production, product
developers as well as external suppliers to ensure that product data is up to
date, including ingredients listings, allergens and dietary requirements.
* Regularly checking our website and shops to make
sure that products, prices, and display information is accurate.
* Assisting with packaging inventory and prices and
liaising with packaging suppliers.
* Understanding who our competitors are and performing
regular comp shops, both online and in stores to check newness, prices, and
display.

What we're looking for
* Experience within a retail, procurement, or
merchandising team dealing with consumer products.
* Some product development and commercial buying
experience preferred but not essential.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and
verbal, with strong interpersonal skills.
* Impeccable organizational skills with an emphasis on
attention to detail and accuracy.
* An avid multi-tasker, able to manage multiple
systems within a fast-paced office environment and enjoys working in an
ever-changing environment.
* Passionate about product and driven by desire for

* An understanding of the market, the competition and
product value.
* An appreciation and understanding of the critical
business functions contributing to the product process, including Production,
Creative, Finance, and Operations.
* Competent Excel user
Where you'll be working - Our Product Team
The
Product Team is responsible for every aspect of product across the estate
covering retail in our shops and online, products for hospitality, events and
wholesale. The team includes buying and merchandising, new product development,
packaging and procurement.
The
Product Team will work alongside the various internal departments to help to
develop the product proposition of the key pillars of the estate: hotel,
gardens, visitor attractions as well as the butchery, creamery, productive
growing and bakery, adding products that complement these pillars and fit with
The Newt’s vision: prioritising seasonality, sourcing or producing the highest
quality products, and using local suppliers where possible.
