About this Role
Here at Mill Hill Primary School we are seeking to appoint a General Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive team in Northallerton. Mill Hill Primary is a vibrant school with 236 children from ages 2-11, and we run a one class per year group structure. We are based in the heart of Northallerton and our community links are very important to us. Staff work very well as a team and we are a warm, welcoming and inclusive school – no two days are ever the same!
The purpose of this post is to support learning in the classroom and will involve working 1:1 with pupils with SEN (under the direction of the class teacher and other appropriate staff), small group intervention work and some more general classroom support activities (currently Y2 and Y3). We have a supportive team who will provide training and support as you get to know our school and our pupils.

Job Details
Hours of Work: 30 Hours Per Week, Term Time Only (39 Weeks Per Year), 8.30am - 3.30pm Monday - Friday
Position Type: Fixed Term until August 2026
Line Manager: SENCO
The salary is dependent on current qualifications and experience. An honorarium payment is available for this role, for the SEN responsibilities.
