Peace Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading main contractor as they look to appoint an experienced Senior Planner to their business. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a strong pipeline of complex projects across the Central Belt. The successful candidate will take ownership of the full planning function — from tender stage through to on-site delivery — ensuring that programmes are realistic, achievable, and cost effective. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage detailed construction programmes for both internal and external use Produce critical path analyses and progress reports for monthly meetings Support Project Managers in producing detailed, resource-loaded programmes Contribute to tender submissions and provide planning input to bids and pre-construction activity Lead buildability and programme risk reviews, ensuring efficient project delivery Liaise with commercial, design, and delivery teams to coordinate outputs and ensure subcontractor programmes are achievable Monitor design and procurement schedules to ensure information and materials are delivered to programme Coach and support site management teams in planning best practice Identify opportunities to improve planning systems and software use Requirements Professionally recognised qualification in construction or engineering Proven experience in a planning role with a major contractor Strong technical understanding of project delivery from pre-construction through to handover Proficient in Asta Powerproject (essential) Excellent communication and reporting skills Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams Full UK driving licence What’s on Offer Competitive salary of up to £80k Car Allowance and Package (DOE) Opportunity to shape major projects across Scotland If you’d like to find out more, please get in touch for a confidential chat:
