Purpose
Delivering Careers Guidance in Secondary Schools – Bexley and / or Greenwich
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Careers Advisor to join our dedicated team at Bexley Youth Advice on a 0.4 FTE permanent contract, with potential to increase to full-time from January 2026.
This role focuses on delivering high-quality careers information, advice, and guidance to young people in secondary schools across Bexley or Greenwich, supporting their progression into education, employment, or training. You will be based primarily in schools, with some delivery in community venues.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver one-to-one and group careers guidance sessions in secondary schools
* Support young people with tailored progression planning and decision-making
* Collaborate with school staff, local services, and community partners
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to service development
Essential Requirements
* A Level 6 qualification in Careers Information, Advice and Guidance (CIAG) or equivalent
* Experience supporting young people with progression and transition
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Commitment to inclusive, person-centred practice
