A well-respected and student-centred secondary school in High Wycombe is seeking a dedicated and experienced SENCO to lead the SEND provision from September 2025. The school prides itself on meeting the needs of every child through tailored support and inclusion.
Main Duties

Lead the SEND strategy across the school—identifying, assessing, and supporting students with SEND needs
*
Collaborate with teachers, support staff, external professionals, and families to create a personalised education experience for every student
*
Coordinate and deploy a team of experienced Teaching Assistants, delivering in-class and intervention-based support
*
Ensure statutory compliance, including EHCP reviews, annual reports, and provision mapping
Candidate Profile
*
SENCO qualification (or working towards), with QTS and experience in SEND leadership
*
Exceptional communication, team management, and empathy
*
Strong knowledge of current SEND frameworks, access arrangements, and intervention strategies
*
Committed to building a culture of acceptance, dignity, and achievement for all learners
