Job Summary
An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic call handler and administrative team member to support clinical services within the Single Point of Referral team at Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust. The role involves receiving calls from health professionals and ensuring accurate capture of information to inform clinical teams.
Responsibilities
* Serve as first point of contact for all services within the locality.
* Answer and deal with telephone enquiries from Health Care Professionals, Service Users and Carers in a courteous, professional and confident manner, signposting as appropriate.
* Maintain appropriate records, both manually and computerised, for all referrals across services.
* Deal directly with patients and carers following relevant service guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience
* Good standard of education (e.g. GCSE level or equivalent).
* RSA II or equivalent experience (e.g. ECDL).
* Demonstrable general customer care experience.
* Demonstrable general administration experience.
* Good typing and word processing skills.
* Evidence of ability to maintain filing systems.
Essential Skills
* Database experience: Excel & Access.
* Computer literate (e.g. ECDL).
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Good telephone manner, able to remain calm under pressure.
* Excellent IT skills and a positive attitude.
Additional Requirements
* Work visa sponsorship is not available; applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
* Disclosure and Barring Service check required under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
