<div><h3>REF: NWM:712</h3><p><b>Hours</b>: Part Time 30 hours per week</p><p><b>Work Pattern</b>: 4 days per week, Tuesday - Friday 9AM - 5PM</p><p><b>Salary</b>: £24,719 per annum, salary pro rata from £30,899 per annum</p><p><b>Location</b>: Remote working but a requirement to work from Holland Court - Norwich NR1 4DY</p><p><b>Requirements</b>: A drivers licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance essential for this role.</p><h3>About The Service</h3><p>Our Low‑Cost Counselling Service (LCC) provides accessible, high‑quality counselling to individuals across Norfolk and Waveney. Delivered by a dedicated team of volunteers and trainee counsellors, the service supports people experiencing mild to moderate mental health distress, as well as those wishing to explore personal challenges in a safe, supportive space.</p><h3>About The Role</h3><p>We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Counsellor to play a key role in the clinical and operational leadership of our Low‑Cost Counselling Service.</p><p>This is a rewarding opportunity to support the development of trainee counsellors while contributing to a valued community service that makes a meaningful difference across Norfolk and Waveney.</p><p>You will provide line management and clinical oversight to trainee counsellors, ensuring safe, ethical, and professional practice in line with NICE guidelines and organisational standards.</p><p>You will also play an important role in managing referrals, undertaking initial assessments, contributing to service development, deputising for the Service Manager when required and holding a small caseload of clients.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Provide line management and caseload oversight for trainee counsellors</li><li>Deliver (or support delivery of) clinical supervision, including group supervision (desirable)</li><li>Oversee referrals, complete assessments, and allocate clients appropriately</li><li>Manage risk, safeguarding, and clinical decision‑making processes</li><li>Facilitate and contribute to clinical and operational meetings</li><li>Support continuous improvement of systems, processes, and service delivery</li><li>Deputise for the LCC Service Manager when required</li><li>Maintain a small caseload of clients</li></ul><h3>Essential Requirements</h3><ul><li>Qualified Counsellor with a minimum Level 4 Diploma (2+ years training)</li><li>Qualified in Integrative or Person‑Centred Counselling</li><li>Registered member of BACP, UKCP, or equivalent (with accreditation achieved within 6 months)</li><li>Significant experience working with mild to moderate mental health issues (e.g., anxiety, depression)</li></ul><h3>Experience In</h3><ul><li>Line management or case management supervision</li><li>Risk assessment, safeguarding, and child protection</li><li>Managing a clinical caseload</li><li>Supporting and guiding colleagues</li><li>Implementing service or process improvements</li><li>Strong knowledge of NICE guidelines</li><li>Excellent communication, report writing, and relationship‑building skills</li><li>Confident using IT systems (MS Office and data/reporting tools)</li><li>Ability to work flexibly and travel across Norfolk and Waveney</li></ul><h3>Equal Opportunities Statement</h3><p>We welcome applications from people from all ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, socio‑economic classes, religions and disabilities.
