Psychology Graduates - Wakefield & Surrounding Areas
We are currently seeking Psychology Graduates in Wakefield and the surrounding areas to join our team in supporting the education of young people who are not able to attend mainstream school.
Job Description
As a member of our team, you will work in a rewarding environment alongside a supportive and professional team. This role offers the opportunity to work in specialist education settings, such as alternative provisions, PRUs, or SEMH schools.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the education of young people by adapting to their specific needs and collaborating with a supportive team in specialist education settings.

Requirements
* Reside locally and able to start after completing mandatory checks.
* Interest in working in education or similar fields.
* Experience in any of the following areas:
o Youth community work.
o Drama.
o Sports coaching.
o Psychology.
o Criminology.
o Outgoing and confident personality.
o Experience working with SEND students, such as SEMH, PMLD, cognitive issues, and autism.
o Experience working in residential support or as a care worker.
o Team Teach or physical intervention training (or willingness to obtain training).
o Mentoring or 1:1 tuition in English, Maths, or Science.
o Teaching/Learning Support Assistance.
o Numeracy and Literacy support.
* Commitment to safeguarding young people.

* Two professional references within the last five years.
* CV covering the last 10 years.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
