Job Title: Bereavement Support Coordinator
Work with the bereavement specialist midwife and the Clinical Governance Team to provide comprehensive clerical support.
Responsibilities include:
1. Data entry and maintenance of database systems to ensure compliance with all reporting requirements, including MBRRACE and Child Death overview panels.
2. Partnering with Data Analysts.
3. Organising workload management tasks such as word processing, distributing, and filing.
4. Coordinating records and presentations for meetings.
5. Liaising with clinical and administrative staff within and outside the department.
6. Coordinating bereavement meetings.
7. Communicating with patients, families, GPs, and external agencies.
8. Updating the bereavement tracker and taking minutes of meetings.
9. Arranging meetings with families and tracking patient feedback.
10. Supporting data entry and responding to a high volume of inquiries via phone and written communication.
11. Implementing instructions involving liaison with patients, families, hospitals, GPs, and other agencies.
Skills and requirements include:
1. Excellent communication skills.
2. Understanding of legal standards and requirements.
The role is based at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust, serving diverse communities across Brent, Ealing, Harrow, and beyond. The trust manages major acute services at:
* Northwick Park Hospital, including a hyper-acute stroke unit and rehabilitation units.
* St Mark's Hospital, a specialist bowel disease centre.
