JOB TITLE: Academy Rehabilitation Physiotherapist
LOCATION: Chelsea FC Training Ground, Cobham (travel as required)
JOB TYPE: Full time (aligned to the demands of elite football)
The opportunity at Chelsea FC
Be part of the Academy’s next evolution and help produce the next generation of Premier League players. If you thrive in a fast-paced, high-standards environment where your work matters, this role is for you.
Why this role is different
Work with some of the best young talent in football and deliver performance-led rehabilitation within a fully integrated multidisciplinary team. Support players through injury rehab and return them to peak performance, contribute to high-level return to play decisions and influence how our players are physically prepared for the Premier League.
What it involves
Lead end-to-end rehabilitation and bridge rehab and return-to-performance. Work alongside Performance Medicine and Performance Science, using screening, diagnostics, GPS and performance data to guide decisions. Communicate clearly with players, coaches, parents and key stakeholders and help set the standard for Academy rehabilitation.
What we are looking for
HCPC registered physiotherapist with experience in elite youth sport. Strong understanding of growth and maturation and how they influence injury risk. Confident delivering football-specific rehab in the gym and on the pitch and comfortable using clinical and performance data to drive decision-making.
Who you are
You see injury as a chance to develop better footballers, not just fix problems. Curious, reflective and player-first, you set the bar high, stay composed under pressure and don’t settle for good enough.
What we offer
25 days’ annual leave, a 5% pension contribution, private health insurance and life assurance at four times salary, plus daily access to elite facilities, people and development opportunities.
* To embody the club’s BLUE behaviours (Brave, Lead, Unity, Edge) in the approach to work and interaction with others

* To act as an ambassador for diversity, equality, and inclusion, and demonstrate a positive commitment by treating others fairly in line with our Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Policy and reporting any acts of discrimination through appropriate channels
* To create a safe environment and act to protect all young people and vulnerable adults that are either in your care or attending club premises, and report any concerns to the Safeguarding Lead
* To report any misconduct or suspected misconduct to the HR Department.
