The Opportunity
We're looking for a Director of Regulation to breathe life into our mission through dynamic, values aligned regulatory strategy.
In this strategic, cross-functional leadership role, you will:
Collaborate closely with our Head of External Affairs to position regulatory strategy with influence and foresight across the stakeholder landscape.
Drive internal engagement around regulatory matters, educating teams, elevating awareness, and embedding a culture of ownership and literacy.
Champion best practice across the business, turning regulation into something relevant, actionable, and commercially astute.
Cultivate strong partnerships across departments, simplifying complexity and building shared responsibility.
Define and navigate Utilita Energy's regulatory direction, both tactically and strategically, while anticipating change over the next 3-5 years.
Lead a team, including the Heads of Regulation and Market Policy, and serve as a trusted advisor to the Executive Team, bringing clarity, insight, and a sharp lens on governance, risk, and policy evolution.About you
You are a seasoned and credible regulatory leader, with depth in UK energy regulation and a passion for progress. You're a natural educator who knows how to translate complex frameworks into meaningful action. You approach regulation with positivity and nuance-seeing its potential to unify teams, drive innovation, and reinforce trust.
Strong track record of policy influence and regulatory leadership at senior levels.
Excellent communicator who thrives on collaboration and internal alignment.
Familiar with navigating ambiguity, embedding best practice, and engaging stakeholders from technical experts to senior executives.
